hey guys i just tried to install the switch on my cyclowiz and ended up ruining the chip as 2 solder points are now completely off the board. I was wondering if there is another chip that doesn't use these points. I have the first nintendo wii model ... believe its the d2A.. is there a chip that doesnt use the solder points that wiikey and clowiz use?

p.s dont ask me to resolder points, not that good :(

Unfortuinatly most of the early chips (cyclowiz, wiikey, wiija) use the same solder points.

Your best bet is either to find someone who can solder to the legs of the D2A chip becuase the points that you pulled off the board run through the legs on the chip.
Or you can get a wlip, which is basically a socket that goes over the D2A chip. However you'll still have to solder your cyclo chip to the wlip but thats a whole lot easier than trying to solder to the legs.
