I have a PSP slim 2001. I had 3.90 m33 on my psp A while back I put on a custom theme for my psp on flash 0. It was working fine but than started having problems where it would just turn off or freeze when I try to exit the menu you get when you hit select (vsh menu). Than it bricked. I unbricked it with Despertar del Cementerio V5. Now it is at 3.90 m33-3 again but I still have problems like I can't change the name of my psp and it still freezes when I try to exit the vsh menu also when I just press home it turns off. Is there any thing I can do to fix this. I do have another working psp slim with the 3.90 m33 that is working fine ( I never put any custom themes on it). So I have access to working backup files. Please help
Well I tried all that and it still doesn't work. Its so weird everytime I try to change the nickname of the psp it just kicks me out and when I hit select and go in that menu and hit hit exit it freezes so far thats the only problems I have. If anyone can direct me on what to do to fix this I would be so greatfull. I have the white psp slim (white with darth vader on the back ) 3.90m33-3 firmware
I downloaded 3.95 from Sony and installed it sucessfully and then formatted the memory stick and then reset to defaults and the problem still persists.
The Nickname edit kicks you out instantly and the the home button which puts you into save game y/n ? locks unless you hit home again to put you back into the game
I ope that doesnt came too late, my psp slim had the same problem, but i solved that one, after alot of research on google, i found nothing and i decide to open my psp and void hes waranty.
All problems, no start buton in games, cannot change nickname, and other was camed from an oxid inside buttons, exactly inside and between start and select buttons.
To solve that situation, you need to open your psp, you know, you will lose waranty, and identify those buttons inside.
See on thoe buttons an adesive tape and unde some round circle, those circle are in the fact the buttons.
Carefully take up the adesive tape on this will remain round ciles, with a cloth or something clean, not whet, gently clean under circle and surface where they stay, after that all will be OK.
