I THOUGHT THAT BY UPGRADING WITH A FIRMWARE MODED PSP FAT .., THE UMB WOULD STILL WORK,,, BUT IN MY CASE ... IT JUST KNOCKED IT OFF? I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE MY UMB BACK .. I BELIEVE THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE UMB ITSELF I BELIEVE ITS THE MODED SOFTWARE 3.71 M33-4 THATS HIDED MY UMB ICON AND I JUST DONT KNOW HOW TO SET THE RESCUE SETTING FOR UMB I WOULD REALLY REALLY APPREACIATE IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME WITH THIS TYPE OF PSP CHALLENGE.,,,

Dude, no shouting on the thread. Read the rulez.
Forum rulez
I think your UMD settings are wrong. It's recorvery mode, not rescue settings ok? First, hold shoulder R button when you boot up your psp.
go configurations->UMD mode-> then select until it goes into "UMD required"'
Hope it helps ^^

no that wont work
right ether your umd drive is bust or your getting read errors
2 things to do is
1) get a cotton bud and clean the laser lens
2) when my umd drive doesnt read i have to press the black switch in the umd drive to just tell it that there is a umd in there
if you open the door at the top left you should see a screw and a black nobbly thing bellow that there is a black switch and it has a little bit sticking up on it. turn the psp on and just give it a tap so the laser moves and then put the umd in
that should boot it up
if not are you getting disc read error comming up and does it make a load odd noise when it spins.

Either re-install the firmware or update to either 3.80M33-5 or 3.90M33-3. Have had problems before with UMD controllers not working after CFW installation. It's like installing drivers on a computer, sometimes you have to re-install cause it got corrupt.
Hope it helps.

Download the Despertar del Cementerio V5 from HERE and install it on a real not fake mem stick 512mb-2gb, read the readme, then take it out of the PSP, place it back in and then insert the pandoras battery. The PSP should boot automatically to the magic stick menu.

You didn't make the pandora correctly lol? Just for your information, see the icon on the top of your message? theres the icon next to the "link to this message" icon, thats the one for editing your messages so you won't have to post multiple times.

try this . It will allow you to play on ISO / CSO format by ripping out your game from UMD
1.) put umd in psp
2.) press select button change usb device to umd
3.) connect your psp to a pc open a window to view the psp
4.) in the window there should be an iso file copy that to your pc
5.) place that iso in the iso folder in the root of your memory stick
6.) in the xmb select game and memory stick the iso should be there.

it is there its just not showing because the games cant be read so there is not point to showing the icon because the game can be loaded.
it like if you dont have a disc in there the icon isnt there its basicly the same.
also have you tried umd -> pc and see if it reads through usb
