I NEED HELP FLASHING MY XBOX360 47DJ DRIVE

i have firmware tool box 3.1 i hooked my 47dj drive up to my pc with a sata cable and i tryd to dump the original firmware but it would not let me please help somebody please

i dont have a satacard in my computer i was just using the one sata port that was bulit in my computer


do i need a satacard??? what type of satacard do i need

Complete instructions for flashing any 360 drive is in the guide. The Hitachis are a little more involved but regardless, the guide tells you word for word how to do it.

okay, its normal for mobo's not to come with a sata card. If you want you can purchase a 6421a sata card. Make sure it isnt raid or that raid can be turned off. Just look on ebay, or type it in on goolge and post the site here, so we'll tell you what we think. As far as your mobo thing, its mostly likely that your sata port doesn't support this.

Does you motherboard have the right chipset?here is a list I picked up somewhere.If you want the link ask and Ill post it.

Sata Chipset Compatibility
PCI SATA:
* Sil3112 Chipset Does not work
* Sil3114 Does not work
* Sil3512 Does not work
* Maxtor SATA card w Promise chipset Does not work
* VIA VT 8237 Compatible
----------------------- This On board one is the on for you.
Onboard SATA:
* MSI k7n2 delta (Promise SATA) - Does not work
* Abit NF7-S2G Nnforce2 SATA (mapped as IDE ports 3+4) - Compatible
* VIA Chipset - Compatible
* Intel Chipset (ICH5 / ICH6) Compatible
* ASUS P5AD2 premium (with ICH6) - Compatible
* Promise Sata controller on the ASUS P4C800E-Deluxe - Compatible
* Other chipsets are hit and miss but compatibility is being added whenever possible
