Are the Wii Balance Boards Region Free? So could you use a PAL UK version of Wii Fit with a Japanese Balance Board, etc? Or would my WiiFit Balance Board AND game be of the same region?

the wii fit balance board works with any region console i have a us wii balance board and it works on my pal wii ( the way u connect it to the console is u have to play the game and wait till it asks u to connect it press the red button on the balance board and the sync button on the wii to connect it when it asks u to :) hope it helps u. its basicly like a wii mote just bigger :) :)

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows if the NTSC/J version of the Wii Fit would be compatible with a PAL Nintendo Wii and a PAL Freeloader?

from wat i gather, it should as long as your wii has the right update from its region as well as a 'real' copy of wiifit.

I have a japanese wii and will be buying wii fit tomorrow.
not sure what version I have because I have semibricked it and got the opera error screen and havent got around to trying the unbrick yet.
Should I buy a jap version of wii fit just incase it wants to update?

A 'real' one as in the proper version of the NTSC/J version, and not a knock off, or a 'real' one, as in I still need the PAL version for it to work? Am a bit of a novice with games consoles!!

Ok Ive read everything on this thread but Im still confused! I am thinking about buying a Japanese Wii (I now live in Korea), using a freeloader to be able to play Wii Fit US (i dont understand japanese).
But Im having trouble locating US version in the part of the world, if the Wii (Jap) is chipped/freeloader, and I buy Wii Fit board (Japanese version) could I get a US version of just the Wii Fit disc? And it will all work?

Backup or Original Game Disc: Backup (using NTSC backup disc, as didn't want to risk bricking my Wii by using the original PAL disc)

I have a Wii console UK version no modifications. I purchased a Wii Fit board in the USA. When I put the Wii Fit game in it says disc not recognised. Amy ideas please

well that is probably the problem you have no modifications on your system so a US game wont work the board yes but not the game either u get the free loader or a mod chip

I'm new to all this What's a freeloader and an I get a mod chip done in the UK.The game came with the balance board I guess if I buy the game again in PAL it will work with the board

yeah if u buy the PAL version it will work with the balance board that you have the free loader is a disc by datel and after u put it in your wii and it confirms it to put your disc in it allows you to play outer region games :) and thats ok if you are new ( every one starts out ;))

can i get the original copy of ntsc-U wiifit and board?
i'm not sure which modchip i'm using.
