PSP Screen Replacement BOTCHED ?

Hello, My son tried to replace the screen in his psp,Bot the screen on line, he could not get the backlight cable back into its slot, and eventually broke off the latch on the board for both the backlight cable and the screen cable that hold it into place. We are not sure what to do now. do we need to send it to a shop for another board.. are we hosed? PLEASE any ideas?

What a bone head! Please help.. I will be sending it somewhere by monday if i dont get any significant ideas.

thats not good.

im sure your son go a bo***cking (i know i would lol)

i can only suggest it pluging it in and put some duck tape over the cables so they dont come out.

it wont effect anything as its plastic and a low voltage so just pop a bit of duck tape over the ribbion and then put the screen back it and it should go fine.

Yeah, you might want to try and secure those cables in another way without the clamps. Besides that, you might want to post this thread on acidmods.com. They deal with many more hardware issues than this site.
