Is the new drive the same as the old?
If so, then just take the board out of the old drive and use it in the new one.

Do you have any previously worked hacked firmware. If you do, you can extract the key from those.

I see. You're out of options. The only two ways were to get it off the old drive or have it saved.
Actually, you may still be able to save the 360. But it'll cost you. You can send the drive board off to someone who can desolder and pull the firmware off of the board (as long as you didn't fry the firmware chip).
I can do it (I'm in US) or you can check out xbox-scene. There's a couple of people there who can do it.
It's either that or you have a $300 dvd player.

Well, like I said, it's probally possible to read the firmware with an external programmer.
If you just want the key, it would be $15. All you would have to send is the bad board. That is, of course, if you're in the States.

im in the states but where will i send it to? ive tried swapping the boards on the dvd drive since i have a hitachi 47 and a 59. 47 is the one that is burned and the 59 is the one that gives me that error code. my computer wont boot it up anymore. i think i did a bad flash. is that still possible?

I meant I can do it for $15.
I don't think you can cross versions of Hitachi drives. Plus, if you didn't add your key to the 59, even if it did work with the 360, it still wouldn't play games. Just movies.
If you want to send your 47 board, all it would cost is the postage to mail it. If I can get the key, then it's $15.
If you're interested, pm me.
