Do VERBATIM DVD-r's paly in nearly all dvd home players? I'm getting a read error when inserted into my home KIIRO multi regional player?

In fact I just searched KIIRO & this is the exact link here for the three models listed...but they do all say that -R should work (altho not so happy with +R/RW mind)
