hello, i'm new to the xbox 360 console, i tried researching have, but have not had any luck.

i just bought my box in the phillipines (mfr 2008, phillips drive). i have over 60 pirated games but all are ntsc-j.

the xbox came preflashed. i don't know which firmware.
mfr 2008, phillips drive.

my problem is that i will be returining to states. i assumed that the xbox was a region free console similar to ps3. big mistake. now i have a 360 that can't play ntsc games.

i was able to read that buying a mod chip would be able to by pass region codes and play any version of xbox games.

question i have is that will my flashed xbox run with a mod chip?

please keep in mind i don't really care for xbox live

please help.

just use the ntsc-j games if thats what you were using before. just cause you live in the states dosn't mean you box turns to ntsc when you touch our soil ;) also you can use a mod chip with a flashed box yes. however, thats the main reason people buy a mod chip is to flash their drive. also if for some reason you really really need to change the region, i believe the Infectus chip can help you achieve that goal. however correct me if i am wrong guys.

thanks for the reply.

yeah, i was unaware that my asian xbox could not play nstc games. So i'm looking to find a way to play nstc games. One way i found was through mod chips.

it's going to be really hard to buy asian games on US soil but it can be done. i just want the convience of going to walmart and buying a game. I don't want to worry about shipping.

I don't want to send my box to MS becuase then they would just convert it and i would lose my 50+ pirated asian games. . .

i think i'm in a unique situation.
i have a box that flashed with a firmware which type I don't know. i want to put a mod chip so that my box can run games no matter what region code.

if you have that many i am assuming you dont own them legally. so if i were you i would just download them and get them according to your region. that way ntsc isnt an issue.

i have already downloaded 2 games, orange box and sofp. both are region free. it's kind of hard to find torrents that are strictly nstcj. if you know of a sight please let me know. i have been desperately looking.
