i cant place the volume control icon in taskbar. when tryin to do that, from sound devices option in control panel, it shows an error message as below:
"windows cannot display the volume control on the taskbar because the volume control program has not been installed. to install it use add/remove program in control panel"

What type of sound card do you have? Do you have the windows xp os cd?
