would a full HD cause over heating?

i have recently filled my 60gig HD, would that cause any over heating? or would it affect my ps3 in any other way? i know that when my PC is full it does'nt run to it's full potential,or so am told.

No, this won't affect anything. My HD is full too. I have a 60GB. It's probably just dust or the like. Make sure you have a well ventilated area around it so it doesn't overheat. The reason your PC runs more slowly when the HD is full is because Windows uses pagefiles to use HD as RAM. On linux, this is known as swap partitions. The PS3 doesn't use anything like this since everything is built around the same architecture.
