i bought my 360 for $100 but it had the red ring of death, the warranty was over so i got it repaired and it works fine now. when i bought it the seller told me that the The console is modded with 1.4ixtreme firmware. k i dunno wtf that is, he told me its capable of playing burnt games but the first game i tried burning was bioshock. and when i loaded the game it goes to that 2K game screen but then a message pops up saying "unable to read disc" and goes back to the 360 main screen. now i wanna ask is how can i play burnt 360 games? what do i need inorder to play burnt games?.

well, it could be a bad rip. It could also be the discs your using. What type of discs are you using? What burn speed are you at? And try another game.

you have what you need to play burned games.

What you need to make them are good quality DVD+R DL discs (Verbatim)
A dual layer burner which you have if you made one
And to know if your DVD burner can booktype +R media to DVD-Rom (helps with the compatibility)

Then:
1. open newest version of IMGburn
2. go to mode and select ?write?
3. now browse for and select the .DVD file you just made
4. Select your burning speed, and booktype the media to DVD-Rom if your burner can booktype
5. hit start and burn it.

If your burning an ISO file rather then the .DVD file which you should also have you need to set the layer break as well before you burn it:
tools-->settings-->write-->layer break. Check user specified and set it to 1913760. Click ok and burn as normal. This is only necessary the first time burning a 360 game

if this isn't acceptable what about the maxell dual layer discs, in futureshops in canada there having a sale; 25 for $25, verbatims to over priced.

Games cost around 60 bucks a piece if you buy the original. Don't be cheap and save a few pennies on dvd's...

Verbatims are more expensive here too, and that is for a reason. Because they are better quality.

Think of it this way, You can save $5 or even $10 on a 20 pack of DVD+R DL discs. But if you waste half of those trying to get games to work what have you really gained?
