I just tried the matroska format, and I love it. AVI. should be abolished. Anyway, does anyone know of any torrent sites that specialize in MKV? Live everything is encoded in matroska. PM if its an issue to speak of torrents.

ok:

1. mkv isnt really a media format. Its a container format. Like VOB.

2. They arent special. All they are is a container. I could put crap encoded at 100x100 res in an mkv. You will find divx/xvid streams inside your mkv container.

3. They are actually quite annoying because most people who distribute h264 and 720p content are releasing in mkv, which is unplayable by my ps3 (I stream all my movies from my server to my ps3).


As for where can you obtain them from..... I think thats against the forum rules but look at the "rip group" etc of any file you downloaded.

Lastly if you like good media buy the boxed set. It supports the industry then you can make your own mkv rips in higher quality.
