Sorry if this has been posted before.

Wondering if there is a way for my to store and retrieve my UMD/PSx backups on my PS3 HDD. Running out of storage space on our PC!

Thanks for the responses in advance.

You can rename them to .mp3 or something and it'll just store them under music. You won't be able to play them or anything, but it'll be there just for storage purposes.

dude you afforded a ps3. Surely you can fork out 180 bucks (australian) for a 1 TB hard drive.

Rename any file you want to .mpg For storage. The ps3 is not really FAT32. The PS3 has it's own file system. Even if you did that you would need a large removable media to get them back on to your computer. So in the long wrong what is the point.

@ blu3man: Are you the same blu3man as in the blu3lock elf for socom 2?
If you are that was some excellent work you guys did.

Thanks for the advice, folks. I will rename those files.

Regarding the PS3, I'm one of those who is hoping that Megabox will soon pan out. If not soon, Linux is in my future.

I want to ditch my aging PC altogether (not a PC gamer). So, in my case, I would be fine with purchasing an external HDD in the future for our PS3 to supplement the large drive that is in it now.

Again, thanks for the helpful advice!

I use linux and the SAK. Linux is nice sometimes but I never use for the simple fact that I use Ubuntu on my computer. MegaBox was a promising project, but I haven't heard about it for a while now.
