hey guys, i was just wondering if i can egt some tips on how to fix a problem of mine. I stained a copy of my Halo 3. And its all crystalized and stuff. I have a pic for you. Can any1 give me tips on how to remove this? Error i get is just "Open Tray" even though its in the 360.

best option would prolly be to take it to your local video game rental place. most of them now have resurfacing machines that might be able to help. most of the time they charge a dollar or 2 to do it. btw: your link isnt working for me.

wow, not your average scratch indeed! well, hopefully they will be able to help you. as far as i know, next to homebrew stuff im not going to try, resurfacing is the most effective thing right now. good luck.

lol u think it would be jizz cuz of the light and angle, but no, i stained with cleaning fluid and forgot to wipe it down immediatly after. So it just sat there and dried up. Im going to BlockBuster today and getting it resurfaced...u think it could do the trick?

woow luks wel bad.... my 360 got tippd whilst i ws palyin GTA .... had the circular scratches... relai bad ones... lyk near center and outer.. no idea how they ws tha bad.. anyway u can usuali gt em fixd @ game stores... i gt mine done @ game station - UK.. cost £3 ... saved my £42 so defintily worth a try...
tkes lyk 60sec max... they jus put some fluid on the disk.. shove it in a drive and it jus gets buffered... supposidly tkes a very thin layer off the disk... cuz tha guy sed tha if u put the gme through 2 many times it can render it unsuable (abit of random info :) )

yea, resurfing is basically the same thing. compact discs have a layer of some sort of plastic like material coated to the bottom of the disc. when you resurface/buffer it, it takes a very small layer of that off. i would assume once it is gone, any damage to the disc would render it completely unreadable. but given our current technology, i imagine you will be able to do it atleast 5 times or so before it runs out. more or less, its happened. so now you know to take better care of them. compact discs are very easily ruined if not properly taken care of.

Yea we do this were i work and it basically just buffs down the very surface, which doesn't harm the disc because the information is actually right under the top of the disc i believe. i'm pretty sure eb games have machines that will do this for you, the machines are awesome except they cost over $3,000.
