Hi All!

I've had a look around the forums but with no luck so...........

I've only ever flashed 2 360's before, 1 Hitachi and 1 Benq, both successfully!

I've just done my 3rd, another Hitachi (76) and flashed it with the Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_3_Stealth_Rev2 firmware. I put it into mode b using the slax disc and the firmware upgrade processed and completed exactly how I would of expected it to! The original firmware has been dumped to my PC!

All in all a successful upgrade I reckon! Only thing is is that I can't play my back-up's! Just get 'disc unreadable' error message! My son has a 360 with the same drive and the same firmware. I am testing with his 100% working back-ups with no joy (I'm using verbatim media and IMGBURN and i'm manually setting the layerbreak to 1913760). As far as I'm aware i'm doing everything right but still my back-ups won't play!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

try flashing from hack to orig., then back to hacked. and maybe change drive speed.

I'm fine with the flashing bit but how do I go about altering the drive speeds?

when you flash the fw you can extract that rar file and pick one of the speeds in the rar all the way up to 12x

What's the latest/recommended firmware for the Hitachi drives?
