LiteOn LH-20A1L help? Doesn't recognize DVD+R DL or DVD-R DL

I've got a LiteOn LH-20A1L

Which lists compatibility for DVDs

[list]DVD+R 20X
DVD+RW 8X
DVD-R 20X
DVD-RW 6X
CD-R 48X
CD-RW 32X
DVD+R DL 8X
DVD-R DL 8X
DVD-RAM 12X[/list]

Yet it doesn't detect either DVD-R DL or DVD+R DLs

I have some verbatim DVD-R DLs

I think these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...ATIM-_-17507001

Yet, my burner didn't recognize those.

So I tried out some Sony

DVD+R DL 8.5GB media and that shit isn't recognized either :confused:

Anyone have any ideas? I used Nero InfoTool and it says my drive supports +R DL and -R DL ???

Try updating firmware first.

a reinstallations of any new burning software along with a reinstallation of the drivers may do the trick as well:)

Laser may be dead. I had the same burner and i could
not wake it up.I reinstall firmware, email dealer,
finally it all came down to the laser.
Check the warranty, if less than a year,you might be able
to get a replacement.You will need the receipt or
order number if bought online.Never delete your online purchases
if under warranty,
