Need help with devhook

To all Gurus out there,
I have a Phat Psp and i downgrade the version to 1.5 almost a year ago (devhook) and since then .. i have lost touch with the lastest development on homebrew stuff...
I tried to play some cso or iso games again via my memory stick and it says files corrupted... i'm suspecting my memory stick crapped out ... but can anybody help....?
Also can devhook still play all the current cso and iso games? do i need to upgrade to something else?
please help.

MrGooey,
I think i managed to upgrade my Phat PSP to 3.9 v2. :)
Just wanted to confirm few things;
a. can i re format the memory stick after the upgrades ? will i need the files in the future?
b. tried to play some CSO and ISO files and i got mixed results some files i can't play, wondering what could be the reason?
c. i copied some games into the ISo folder and it shows up as "Corrupt File" does that mean that the file is no good
d. Also what would you recommend for video conversion file for the new firmware. I tried to copy MP4 file and it says file not supported?
e. if i want to use my PSP as a map browser without connecting to the net, is it possible?
Sorry about the looong lists of questions ... it just ... I feel like the whole upgrades has just unleashed lots of questions in me ...
Hopefully you can show me the light at the end of the tunnel ...

1. Yes, it would be better if u use the psp to reformat it.

Oh yeah, u may want to go the recovery mode and change the UMD mode to Np9660.

i apologise first for stupid questions ...

x:/Video or should it be in x:/PSP/video?
5. What map browser ? Which one ?? - i'm not sure which one yet i heard that we can download the google map ... ? is that true or can you recommend any ?

stupid ...nah. We were all once a noob .
1. Yep, try to avoid using PC
3. If i remember correctly u put on the MP_ROOT\100MNV01 folder. Make sure that u are not using the PSP VIDEO 9 converter.
4. There is two apps for maps. One needs a internet, and u can browse google maps without downloading it. That is called PSP MAPS (Surprised?) ! The other app is called Map This. It is nearly the same but u need to download the map and it will be better if u have a GPS for the PSP. Go to google and find more info .
Some games dosent work on custom firmware. It will give out a error. Changin the UMD mode to np9660 will fix that error.

its all working now ...
Still thinking about the GPS thing .. not sure if its worth it
What else can you recommend for my PSP? to make it more pretty.. and ready for all challenges - what other application that you would recommend for my PSP?
btw what is CFW?

I read this Go Explore map for PSP ... and its CSo format ... does that mean i put the file into the ISO folder and run it just like running game ??

Yes, u put it there. I never actually tried that app so im sure if it works.
CFW = Custom Firmware such as 3.71 M33
