I have games like duke3d and quake 2x that I am trying to get to work on my xbox. If I FTP them over, then try to play the game, it just locks up at the loading screen. I do have my IGR turned off, and M7 Bios. I opend craxtion just to see if I could get it to boot on a cd, and it says that the .xbe file is invalid. werid thing is that craxtion also said that my duckshoot game had an invalid .xbe file, but it works just fine. Duckshoot, however is not too much of an in depth game lol. I would really like to get quake and duke3d to work. In the quake folder, it has 2 .xbe files, one named default_devkit.xbe and the other default_retail.xbe. Anyone shed some light on why and what a devkit is? Any help is appreciated.

Where did you get the original games from? Did you FTP them off of your xbox to your PC and then back?

Have they been kept in seperate directories?

I got them via mIRC. And they came in .rar archive, I have unpacked them a couple times, and each time I have them in their own seperate folder, and all of these folders are in turn in a folder labeled games. If that makes sense.

Makes perfect sense, you are doing it right. I would say that it is likely that the downloads are corrupt.

Are you sure you downloaded a good file in the first place... remember that record companies put dodgy broken MP3's all over the web.

Have you tried other games, i.e. ones you rip yourself
