The model/serial don't matter. You want a specific drive, then check the mfr.date, lot #, and team #. You don't want a 360 which has the Hitachi 79.

I know you can not exactly take that to the store with you but it is your best resource for knowing which drive you have. And it was the Lite-On drive that was the newest. But unfortunately the list only has 3 of them and they are all PAL and in France, no telling what they are anywhere else since no one has reported them. Although all of those were made in 2008,

i see well i'm in ny so idk if the lite is out here but the mf number wasn't on the barcode sticker. so thats why i'm trying to figure this out but thx for the link this was helpful in terms of what to look for for what i see most of the fdou team made benq and since i'm in US it mostly likely to be ntsc and the one i'm getting is a pro so far i'm 87% sure that i can flesh it with the one by the store i'm just to going to write down the dates on my cell and go back and check again. btw if the lot on this list is there would it be able to flash it

There's a small flap you can open on the box to see the 360 inside. It's the flap the cashier opens to scan the barcode. Open that flap and you'll see it. And the mfr. is below the barcode.
