Hey all.
I have bought a wiikey about 3 months ago and slowly tried to get it working.
I have soldiered the key into the Wii.
The origional discs still work so I don't know what to do!

I think i might have the same problem as you. I installed a WiiKey and nothing happens, original games still work though.

Check you chipset, if you have a d2c the wiikey wont work. Read the mod chip thread. Lots of info in there.

My wii doesn't have one of the legs cut.
I am wondering if it is the soldiering.
Do you have any idea how to take the chip out and if that would even help?

definitely check the soldering, re-solder if you have to. I have that happen to me and basically i took off the solder (with a desoldering iron) and re-did it

if it loads setup disk then it should be fine.

I also heard that it was risky to use a unsoldiering iron.
is their a chance that it could break the wii?
