Hi,

I recently bought a ps2 and got a modchip so i could backup my original ps2 dvd based games. I already wasted a lot of money and i still have to buy a dvd writer. That problem is that there is two different

1)Dual dvd (dvd-r and dvd+r)
2)only dvd+R

The dual is more expensive and i was wondering if i can buy the second dvd writer to brun my ps2 games.

THx for any advise.

Hi ssjack, In my opinion, go straight for the dual format burner. You may want to backup a dvd for a stand alone player later on. Most of the older ones are -R players. I started out with a +R only Hp burner. Within a month I found out I needed a -R burner too. So I ended up buying a dual format. It will save you money and compatibility problems in the long run to go for the dual format up front. Hope this helps.
