Storing 360 backups/iso files

What do you guys use to store all your 360 iso files? I mean over 100gb. Do you recommend external drives? If so, does it take longer to burn from an external drive compared to an internal hard disk?
OR
Is there a program that allows me to burn 360 backups on the fly from one disk to another succesfully and reliably?

you can burn a backup of a game, i store all of my iso's, but i assume most dont. i have around 180 gigs of 360 games. but then again i have 2 pc's with a combined 4 terabytes.

So do you know if I can reliably copy on the fly If i chose to, say using Nero? Is it recommended for files as big as 360 backups?

I stored all my ISOs up to a point on DVD5s. That got way to time consuming and takes up a crap load of space. This was couple years ago when huge cap hardrives weren't cheap. So I stopped storing the ISOs. If a backup gets damaged, I'll just re obtain one.

personally i have 4 HDD's now and space for one more, so i just have one 250 HDD just for that purpose. I would go internal rather then external if at all possible.
As far as making a copy of an already backed up game, just use the Nero disc copy function will work fine. As will IMGburn.

600 gigs of games on one internal HDD. dont have to worry about reobtaining a game if something should happen this way.

Nice! Do you recommend that drive? That's what I meant - it takes time to properly download, patch, merge a game so I don't want to have to go through all that if I should need to make another copy :)

I think storing all those ISOs on a Hard drive is not so economical. You will rarely/never access the .iso, so why on your HD?
500GB HD is $100
100 DVDR= 470GB is $25
Of course you have to burn like crazy, but 1 at a time it's no hassle. Save all that HD space for your nice porn collection ;)

i got the HDs cheap, black friday shopping, and you never know when a friend wants a copy of a game, or yours gets ruined or what not. easier for me to just keep em all on the HD.

i know you agree, it was directed turned Burning. and i believe the drive i have them all stored on is either a WD or seagate drive. cant remember which they are all one.

I have a nice big hard drive, plenty of space to store the games.
If you have the space, use it. If you don't, don't bother spending more money on it.
|
