Hey guys, lately i've been getting the "Please put this disk into a 360 console" error. I've asked alot of people but im getting different causes. Some people say its dust in my dvd drive. Some say its the disk? Which is it?

More than likely it is the disc. How are you backing up your games? What media are you using and what speed are you burning at?

Before you waste money on the Disk trial and error,Just clean the laser. I also had the same problem and when I took my xbox apart it was pretty dusty inside.Took the drive cover off and it was dusty as well, cleaned it up with some Q-tips and Rubbing Alcohol.Worked just like new again.I think it is really amazing how dirty these things get inside.In short try the cheapest method first Cleaning.I am sure that you havent changed nothing over time in your backing up ways.

yeah, I haven't modded my 360 yet, but i might take it to a place in toronto that does it for you..(im to stupid to do it/lazy :P) abd it only happens with some of my games, like Halo 3 and Shadowrun but thats it.

Right now i have:

Shadowrun
Halo 3
Forza Motorsport
F.E.A.R.

but thats it...anyways thx alot
