Hi, I have just imported rock band on PS3 from america to the UK.

1. Will my guitar hero 3 guitar work with rockband?

2. Will my rock band guitar work with guitar hero 3?

The GH3 guitar will work with rockband but the rockband guitar wont work with GH3. Or so I've heard.

The Blockhead Grinder guitar works for both on the PS3. My brother loves the guitar.

He says it's the best guitar he's used in a game. The arrangement of the whammy bar, effects slider, and the buttons, overall, make it extremely easy to use.

I dunno if it's available in the UK.

On the playstation 3 the guitar hero 3 controller only works with guitar hero. If you try using it with Rockband it thinks it is a regular controller. The rockband guitar does not work with guitar hero either. This is only the case for the playstation 3.

^^ That's why a 3rd party guitar, like the Blockhead Grinder guitar, is ideal for those who want to play both RB and GH3 on the PS3.
