Hitachi laser replacment ? please help

Ok here we go I got a new laser for my drive removed the static solder point installed the laser. Yea it lights up woot.

Now for the problem the spindle moter wont operate with the new laser installed. It wont move an inch or even try to spin up the disk.

so I removed the new laser and installed the old 1 and what do you know it worked. Spun the disk just like it sould so my question to all the wonderfull ppl on this site is what now?

first off stop bumping its not liked around here.

when installing the new laser did the take the laser arm off the old laser and install it on the new one??
it's the white plastic thing off the side of the laser

Sorry for the bumps! Yes I did remove the arm I'm guessin you mean the part that fits into the grove on the gold shaft thats attached to the motor that alows the laser to move correct.

I attached it to the new laser and installed the unit
