I have been thinking of modding/flashing a 360, but I do not want to get banned from live. Does anyone know if they would ban you from just being on live with a modded system (even though I am playing live with a real store bought game and not a back up of it)? or can they tell when you are only playing a backed up game on live?

they will know your drive is flashed once you sign onto LIVE. supposedly, the system makes a log of all the games you play, original and backups. and once you sign onto LIVE, that log is sent to microsoft.

once you go on LIVE with a modded system, it's only a matter of time before the ban hammer drops. can be tomorrow, can be months.

yes, and this goes from reverting back to original FW also, they will know either way.

I read, even if you never flashed your drive, but if you had the xbox on while the DVD sata cable wasn't in. This still gets logged for modding activities.
