Was the game from a different region? Like if your system is a NTSC was the game perhaps a PAL? Cause if you didn't update to the latest firmware and then updated through disc, then you might have bricked the wii!

Hey guy.

Had the same issue with SSBB, look i am guessing the screen goes black and your wii mote loses connection (the blue lights at the bottom go off) and if you reset the console all goes back to normal? right?

if so.....

The way i fixed my issue was to download Gecko RF (homebrew "region free and game boot fixing" software : google it) and i used this to boot my SSBB using the TP hack.

Gecko RF i used was 1.3 the lower versions didn't work, havn't tried with 1.5 but im guessing it will work, also dont use Gecko RF through the homebrew channel (my same SSBB doesnt boot if i try geckoRF through the HB channel)... well 1st see if it works using the TP hack and if your game works through homebrew channel then cool.

God i love lamp

Homebrew isn't really modding it! Homebrew doesn't void the warranty either!

The only way to check what chip you have is to open the console up and look at it.

And its possable you got a bad iso. Try downloading it from a different source.

When you find out what Modchip it is let us know so we can help you make sure the Modchip is updated to latest firmware.

The Imation media your using is medium quality media. The consistency of quality isn't always there. For a more consistent media buy some Verbatim or Tayio Yuden.

GBAtemp states...

Patched using Wii Game Language Patcher using option 1EN. Doesn't work if not patched with Wii Game Language Patcher
So if you have the USA version of the game and playing it on your JAP Wii then you might need to patch the game with Language Patcher which you can get HERE.

That is not the Modchip that is the chipset on the Wii drive board. As stated numerous times in other threads you started and this 1 you will need to open up the Wii to find out what Modchip you have. If your not willing to listen and follow the help we give then you will find it hard to get help in the future.

Which install did they do 9 wire or 13 +4?

If they did the 13 wire install did they do the extra 4 wires (making it 17 wire install) for region override?

You will need to know all of this information from the guy that installed it or open it up and count how many wires are soldered from the Modchip to the Wii drive.

To update the Modchip you will need the Jtag Programmer.

The only way is if you open it up and count the wires. If it is 13 then it does not have region override enabled. If it is 17 then it does. If it is 9 wire then I will need to look further into how to enable override with the 9 wire install.

Have you burned any other Import game to play on your NTSC(J) Wii and they worked?

Also you could try using RegionFrii on the ISO to patch it to NTSC(J) which is essentially the same as having region override enabled on the Modchip. Your just using software to enable region override on the game disc itself.

You can not use WiiBrickBlocker on all games. Using it on some will make it inoperable. So try using RegionFrii and if this is a USA version use the program I linked to above to patch the Language.
