I need one that's easy to install!
I can open up things fine, but I have no solder experience.
What would you recommend?

Look on Craiglist for a local modder. If do you have a lot of soldering experience trying to install a modchip on a Wii is not a good a place to start especially if you don't have one purchased new at least a year ago.

I will recommend a chip with a wii clip. The chip on my d2c wii was very small. I don't think i could have done it without the clip plus, the clip also saves you time.

double post oops.
i live in a small town so i probably wont be able to find someone to mod it for me. i saw a video of the wii clip installition. seems easy enough, i think i might try it. one question though can you get banned from wi-fi for playing back up discs?

but the d2c works on all wiis? so i dont need to do any hardware check or anything just simply install?

Theres a thread right on the front page discussing a presoldered wii clip modchip. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/670382

And so long as you bought your wii within the last few months it should be a D2C chipset so any of the D2C modchips will work.

ok so with some research i found that i cannot use the d2c because i most likely have a d2b board. i will open my wii prior to purchasing a card to see if the legs are cut or not.
so i changed the thread title. do you think i'll be able to use the wii key?

if its definate a d2b , yes wiikey works on all d2b chip set
