I am wondering if the PSP slims that are coming out now can be downgraded. The reason I ask is because I'm thinking of buying one and I remember reading somewhere that Sony changed the motherboard of the slim in order to prevent people from using the pandora battery (I have one). Also, if this proves to be false and the slim is downgradable with pandora, is it possible to unbrick a full brick on a slim with pandora battery? I ask this because I thought it could only unbrick semi-bricks on the slim. I would like to apologize ahead of time if these questions have been answered before.

i think sony only patched the batterys to stop theme from being converted to a pandora one.l the mother boards where never change to stop pandora as its how sony themselfs unbrick psps

pandoras will unbrick a brick and semi brick

note though you can not downgrade a slim past 3.60 or install the 1.50 kernel as they are unsupported for the slim

Thanks for the response. I am rather unclear about how the 1.5 kernel works for the slim. I know that it won't be installed in the psp like in the fat psp but is the 1.5 kernel add-on similar to installing the kernel on the fat psp? When I said that I wanted to downgrade the slim I actually meant going to CFW. I don't really see the point to downgrading to 1.5.

you cannot go below 3.60 on the slim. the motherboards are not designed to go lower than 3.60, but with time machine, there is limited support.

the new slim motherboards (ta-085v2) are patched so they cannot CREATE pandora's battery. if you already have one made, it'll still work.

1.50 kernel is only accessible with time machine. but imo, it's not worth it, since most homebrew is being designed in the 2.xx/3.xx kernel.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .
