Hi guys,
I am planning to get to a friend a wii and it would probably be a D2C2 model.
What are the modchips that support it?

i got a wii yesterday and i think its a d2c2 one... i bought it from hmv and im sure they got new stock and i got the d2c2 one... the serial is leh189~~~~~~~ what u guys think?? is it a d2c2 wii??? people saying get the d2pro 9 chip.. i was think ing of getting that with the wii clip and all that... can anyone help me out??

More than likely King Jude if you just got it then yeah it's probably
D2C2. And like Waszup said D2pro9 V2 is your best bet. There is the Argon also but the programmer is like $60 extra. A bit steep. I had a mod the other day with a D2C2 and I put a new Wasabi on there and no way was it gonna work. So for now options are limited on new Wii's. Although just to let you know Wii-Clip can be unreliable as it could move around or somehow come unhooked. Hard solder all connections would be better for higher reliability. But of course that would be up to you.

Can't help you out directly but I've installed 12 clipped mods here and all 12 have been 100% - but if you're going to be dropping your Wii down stairs or handling it roughly it might come loose - then again you could shake the laser sled off it's rails too.

My experience with the clips = 100% positive - perhaps all the whiners are expert solder modders feeling cut out of the story?

I got at least some of mine from there - ordered one day, delivered the next (to be signed for). Allan there happy to answer questions etc. in my experience.

$60 for the Injectus (Argon) programmer? You got ripped off if you payed that. The Injectus (Argon) programmer is actually a few bucks cheaper then the D2Prog (D2Pro) programmer at modchipcentral.com $22.95 for Injectus (ARGON) $24.95 for D2Prog (D2Pro).

As well ARGON does work on D2C2 if you do the clock wire short and shielded with a ground wire wrapped around it. The future ARGON Modchips will have the oscillator on board like D2Pro V2 as well they are making an Add-ON for the old version ARGON Modchips so those that have them do not have to buy a whole new Modchip.

Offering an ADD-ON shows me that the Infectus team is willing to go the extra mile for their customers. Rather then leaving them in a learch like D2Pro has making the consumer buy a new Modchip for the D2C2 boards without offering the ADD-ON for the old versions.

I bought a Wii about 2 months ago so I dont know if its a d2c or d2c2

So this one will work with mine either way right??
D2Pro9 v2 SPECIAL (D2Pro9 V2 + V4C Clip + Tri)
Its gonna cost around 80 bucks without shipping
I suk at soldering so I have to go with the clip and totally new to this

Is this modchip good to go and foundmy good??
From the reviews left, they are kind of iffy
Anyone else bought this and if so good??

Ohh and what is this option? idk what it means in the description

I would recommend buying from modchipcentral.com you can get the WiiClip and D2Pro9 V2 soldered on + Triwing for $$82.90

modchipcentral.com by far is the best store I have dealt with.

HERE is the WiiClip just add under Wii Clip Extras "D2Pro9 (D2C2) Modchip + Solder on + Triwing" and it comes to $82.90 + shipping.
