ixtreme compatible games help!

This is my first post so forry if it in the wrong section!

My problem is that I have recently flashed a hitachi and a samsung with the latest ixtreme firmware. now some games it will play and others it comes up with disk read error. I have checked that they are ixtreme compatible with mulleter and still no joy? I had successfull flashes with both drives. Also these games play fine with non xtreme firmware as i also have a old xbox banned on live for trying the games on so i know it isnt a bad burn.

Do i need to try flashing them with lower drive speeds as i have tried them at 8x and 12x so far with the same results.

Any help would be much appreciated!!!

sounds like it's not flashed properly. Can it play orginals? If it can then it's flashed properly, if not: that's the problem!

Yeah it plays originals fine. Sometime they will play and sometimes they wont even load and gives a scratching sound. I have tried taking the dvd drive apart and clean the laser but to no avail. I would thing it was the flash but to happen on two different makes of drives baffles me!

is it possible to copy the games to your hardrive and boot them from there if your 360 is flashed?

No.


If it will read originals that means the hack FW is flashed in ok. And you said it sometimes even has trouble reading originals, then the problem is with the dvd drive/lens 100%. What do you wipe the lens with? Good luck

sorry its the originals that play fine every time, It's the backups that make the sratching sound when loading at times. I cleaned the laser with anti static lens cleaner. Not made any difference though!
