From what i know it is a custom firmware that will only run on test ps3 consoles, not sure if this is correct though.

Actually you can install Debug Firmware on a retail PS3. But it isn't the full thing. For example, only some of the debug options will run correctly. I was going to post a tutorial on it, but I haven't had the time.

Maybe I will in the next few days. =]
