Im having some trouble running GT 3/4 in my ps2. In GT4 the loading icon turns red and turns endlessy in some parts of the game and in GT 3 the game wont pass after the "Sony Computer .....". As far as I know the GT4 is a DVD-9 game and I am wondering if all games that are DVD-9 wont run in my ps2.
After some reading from the net, it looks like I need to replace my laser lens. Can anyone tell me what laser lens model should I buy for DVD 9 games to work or is there another way around this. Also, can anyone tell my where to buy laser parts / modchip in the UK?
I tried cleaning the lens and removing all dusts but nothing happened.

Thx for the reply. Both games are PAL and if I buy a new laser lens will dvd9 games work or there is something in the PVR-802W lens that it doesnt read dvd9 games?

Well if both games are PAL Original DVD9 games, and your PS2 is PAL, then yes a new laser should play the DVD9 games fine.
Thx for the reply. I already ordered the laser lens and paid for the solder removal because I dont have any soldering materials. I might post again here or in a new thread if something goes wrong. Thx again.
