Hi
I have a hacked drive Xbox360
I connected it to my PC, using my wireless network so i will be able to watch videos from the PC on my TV.
When i tried to play the video (or just images) the console asked me to login to XBOX LIVE and download an update.

can I do this, without being banned for using a hacked drive firmware?

Please advise

thanks

thanks

Is there something i can do to reduce my BAN chances?

does it matter that i am only downloading an update? and there will be an original game in the drive while i do it?

does Microsoft has a way currently to know if the drive is flashed or not?

Make sure it's latest ixtreme, and immediately get offline when update is done, they will still log you, but it's the best thing to do I think.

They can't read the firmware on the drive. It's all about the signs they get from the backups. If they could read the firmware itself every single modded Xbox 360 would be banned right now and that's obviously not the case. The thing is, it's believed bad backups are logged whether connected to Live or not.

from what i understand ALL games are logged and if one stands out they can pick it out of the bunch, or if they notice the same repitative data on a new release when all legit ones are different. but no one really knows this is all just specilation with a little bit of educated guessing.
