I asked a question on another site about the cable I need to flash my 360 and this is the answer I got could someone explain this more?

That's not going to work. There is a unique key with every drive, so swaping the board is not going to do, and besides, most drives you buy have original FW not hacked FW. Tell who ever wrote that that hes a noob.

I tried to load Iextreme 1.41 firmware into iprep when i do i get an error that says

no valid firmware loaded.

i have downloaded the firmware a few different time to be sure i have a good file.

the guide I am using says to load both firmwares is there somresean i would need to load bolth the samsung and benq firmware to flash the benq?

on iprep Click Tools then Check for Updates
It should find a updated xd or what ever file it is Just click YES and Voila iprep will work
make sure to tick the box at bottom sayin Make Usb Bootable :D

But when u go to boot ur USB try takin out ur HDD IDE cable that was the only way i cld get it to boot

one last question
there are several different ways to back up the original firmware whats the best?
my guide says iprep will creat original backup file for you on your usb drive, but i just want to be sure.
