Vicatron I used gtrom 4.00 to do mine and it worked, did it this morning about 10.30 and still working, so might be worth trying again, also i had to go through a few channels to code update, try s*y 2, s*y movies indie s*y sports 1, 2 or 3 which ever has the strongest signals seems to help :) good luck

hi guys, i tried to flash my starv 1 genuine with ver 4.00 but when i click on the download the percent does not go up and then it says failed and retry is there an explanation for this by the way my laptop is quite an old one. Thanks.

hi guys,getting some good info here,,things still wrong here in dublin,,,,excuse my stupidness but what is the 4.0 an 4.3 when you are loading,,,ill try sly 2 though,,,my update got to 270% is that a record,,,,,,,,,,,,,regards cjor72

If you have a sv 1 you need the gtrom 4.00 loader to load the fix to your box, for the box/sv2 you will need the 4.03 loader to load the firmware,

loading the gtrom 4.00 now so fingers crossed!

Vicatron you probably do this but when you load Fw, go to menu, factory setting,then installation, 1570, set default key, turn emu on, then installation again and make sure correct service provider, automatic scan.

was doing that when it was the wrong gtrom so im doing it to the letter on this one!!this the last one tonight cos im gonna be dreaming starview boxes tonight iv seen so many!!start again tomorro!!

two questions for all the geniuses...you know who you are!!on the genuine boxes what should it say on system info if i'v done it correctly and also if i can't get one of them to update could i just put the code in to get it working? would it roll over after that?

Have you got a null modem cable? Which box have you got? Are you using vista or xp?

yeah got cables.. done this few months back had no problem doin it.. starview 1 box on windows vista basic, (also have computer with xp)but on laptop tryin.. downloaded gtrom loader v4.00
CryptStar-v1.5-Core400 from cable closet seem to have a prob downloading from eamos libary?

@rachmarie it could be the volume of people downloading it, keep trying.
@vicatron, have you flashed them and you are getting update stuck at 0%, or what is happening?
