im using a gtromloaderv4.0 and in the bin file cryptstar v1.4 core400..says download complete, plug in the box says updating and then sometimes it sticks at 0 or other times it'll climb and then eventually stick and after that i can only change the channel a couple of times before the remote freezes and i have to switch it off at the back to unfreeze the remote and try another channel...thats two now thats happening on.also after it has climbed and then froze the free channels are missing but then when i switch off at the back and back on the free channels are back!!did all my super boxes no problems but just cant get the genuine ones at all!!

hi, could sumone please help me my starview 2 box stopped showing most of our channels yesterday, just saying there all updating except a few like setanta are still working but the rest dont update, i tried turning of emu then going to sky indie nd the disc channels then turning bak on emu nd default key but it doesnt work. im in dublin nd its not a clone. does anyone know the problem??

I know i had a lot of problems yesterday with the sv2's, took ages to unscramble the channels.
You have tried menu 1570 emu off, turn off at the back for a minute, menu 1570 default key ok emu on?
Try it on s*y sports 2 or one of the movie channels.

Evastar downloaded crypstar again from the link supplied earlier wen i hit download it says the model name does not correct? GCR 3510? would this have anything to do with my problem?

system info doesn't change, because they just updated old fix.
@rach, are you using the lastest version, the uk one?

That's not weird, they are the free to air channels.
Change station to s*y movies indie and see will it auto update. Take out any splitters and make sure cable is in properly. Check signal percentage.

starts to update but then freezes at 90% and quality was at88%

@vicatron, just leave it on that channel if it says updating and the percentage is going up, it might take a good ten minutes.

They are not the same, and you are better sticking to Eamo's Library for the firmware vic, and as eva has said it will kick in eventually, it's trial and error.
EDIT:- It is the Cryptstar v1.5 you should have NOT the !.4 that is the one that has NOT been modded, sorry about that.

im just worried iv done it wrong cos i went to bed last night and left one hooked up and when i got up this morning it was stuck at 190%!!

malci im not very computer literate so bare with me here!!i have a winrar programme and when i download that one you said it puts in a little book style logo and then when i go to put it in the bin file slot its not available because its not getting saved as a bin file on my lappy...bet thatsas clear as mud!!any ideas? cheers bud!

Have you installed Winrar, if not then do so, when that is done. You can then double click on "the Book icon" the .rar file and when it opens, you only need to highlight what you want in there and drag it out to your desktop, and it is unzipped, there is other options, but that is the easiest for you. I hope that is a little clearer for you.

This is the same as mine, i have managed to get the free to air channels working ( they were not previously )
I'm totally computer illiterate , logging on here is my limit well almost. Any help would be great

Hey, I have the box pvr. I flash updated it yesterday with new firmware and it was working fine. This morning most of the channels were missing again, not necessarily all the channels that are not on my basic package with n*l.
I have tried leaving it on movie channels/ sky 2/ disney but I have not even seen a progress bar come up with 1%, etc.
Anyone have any ideas? I plug it out at the mains every night. ight this affect it? Will I have to flash again??
