Thanks noely, i did an autoscan the other day and a few channels didn't come in, Des was saying there was a problem with that frequency, i'll try a manual scan on it today and see if they come back. :)

Hi Eva, i did a manual scan on 291.000 & got all channels :)

Hi noely, did a manual on 291.00, already had all those channels.
When i did the scan on 394.5 it couldn't find any channels, but i don't have discovery +1 on my n*l box at the moment either, so must still be a problem with them.

I did a scan from 291 to 402 & got all channels Eva.
Could be a problem in the area :(

They were working around here the other day, changing old cable for new ones, so i did a scan just to be sure & all channels are there.
What else are you missing Eva besides Disc + 1 ?

thanks noely 4 that ...
iam having another problem
when i have the loader open an have put in the firmware file an try download it it says model name is empty?..i looked in the help menu but iam a bit lost..whats supoze to go in for the model name??

STB Model - GCR 3510
Click on bin file & make sure FILE TYPE is App File Only
Have you downloaded winrar to extract the files from the folder?
If not, you`ll need to do this.

Hi,
I am hoping someone can help. I am trying to re-flash a stairview. As far as I can remember it is "the box" version but is there any way to confirm this ? It is a genuine it has 25 x 7 vents.
I downloaded the following files:
v4.03_051005.exe 15/11/2007
thebox_h20081222_457eE_api.bin 23/12/2008
and reflashed the box. I got the progress on the LCD on the box and after 100 I got the download sucessfull message.
When I now plug the box into the tv I get a screen saying "The Box", I can't access the menu and there is one dot green LCD light on the display....
isthe box knackered ? Any ideas ?

Just a quick one, when you say as far as you know it is The Box version, what does it say at the top left hand side of the box, if it says Starview then it is Starview 1, if it says The Box, then it is Starview 2 The box, that is how you can confirm it, but I suspect that you may have flashed a Starview 1 with the incorrect Firmware, (Hope I am Wrong).

Just want to make sure I don't mess it up further. From what I can read and understand from this thread I have updated the box software on to a stairview 1 (as it says stairview on the front not the box), so am I correct in saying i have to re-flash with the stairview 1 file and leave the unit powered off until the last min ? Help is appricieated.

Thought so, the best thing to do is to try and reflash back to the original Firmware then flash on the update if successful okay, do it now.
