Okay. I got the microsoft ZX-6000 LifeChat headset today. This is what it looks like:
Then, when I was looking for ways to hook up an Xbox 360 Wireless controller to my computer, I found this:
Which looks very similar to the Lifechat ZX-6000. They even seem to have the same receiver. In fact, my ZX-6000 receiver actually says "Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows" right on it.
Now I've seen that you need to buy this $20 gaming receiver in order to make xBox 360 wireless controller function correctly with your computer, but I've seen that you can

Now since the Xbox 360 headset and the LifeChat ZX-6000 are so similar, and since I already have the receiver for the ZX-6000 which is, in fact, an "Xbox 360 Wireless receiver for Windows" do I really need the $20 receiver:
