Hey all, weird on for ya.

I have a 360 that i bought that was visiting the Red light District. Eventually got it fixed after doing xclamp followed by the oven trick.

After my time with it the fans were defaulting to the loudest straight away. Now I'm sure was it doing this before i got at it, or at what stage it started doing it.

Today anyways the 360 decided, after being on for no more than 5 minutes, that it was over heating?

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

sounds like my problem not enough thermal compound on the cpu and gpu

You may want to check your xclamp mod to see if it is seated good. Ive got an old style xbox360 that does the same thing. I reliably get about 30min of run time a day for the past four months. Microsoft sure screwed these console's up.

Thanks for the advice lads.

My termal paste was all dried up. Re-applied it and its working fine now, and the fans dont max straight away either \o/
