I'm going to list off what I think the pros and cons are from the multiplayer demo recently release. Yall guys are welcome to join in.
Pros:
Big Maps
Good Grapics
Nice variety of vechicles and heavy artillery
24 player online support
maps divided into sections
friendly fire
EVERYTHING can be destroyed
Cons:
No image displayed when you are talking
Constant lock up/freeze issues
holding L3 to run is HORRIBLE
no prone position
not balanced well (attackers are much easier since your health goes up after a crate is destroyed)
team member do not show as "team" members from long distances until locked dead on with weapon
Overall I liked the demo but there are definately areas that need work or can be improved on. Its kinda like warhawk, jsut more realistic.

since im a member of ign i got access to the xbox live beta.
good times, it was alot of fun, and i feel like the demo was improved alot from the beta. and on the 360 it's easier to hold the left analog sticks and sprint.

Really enjoy the demo so far. Pre-ordered the ps3 one. Agree with most the points here, and would add the following thing.
Cons:
The game lacks In-game member balancing. Have played games where the other team had twice the amount of players compared to others. Should move players to other team if its unbalanced.
Also agree defenders have it harder...
... and this brings me to my next point.
Defender spawning sucks, it should be that when a crate has a explosive set, you should spawn at the nearer points instead of spawning half across the area.
Some times you spawned so that you don't even have time to run to reach the crate, let alone disarm the bomb. Even though nobody gets in your way and you spawned at the same time as the explosive was set its boom by the time you get there.

Another con would be the lack of weapon customization. Although I do like how the weapons handle.

No matter how great it may be it is another first person shooter. I'm tired of FPS.

no, its third person. if you dont know what third person is its where you see the whole body like in MGS, resident evil, etc.
EDIT:
and just because you can aim in first person doesnt make it first person. MGS4 is not first person.
DOUBLE EDIT:
im going to go back and play, ive been playing MGS for a pretty long stretch so i might be confusing it with when you're not in the game, i.e. (picking to respawn with either squad or at base). ill check in a second.

So in Battlefield you can have it where the camera is showing the whole of the body?... Well that explains it, i was just judging from the screenshots which were all in first person.

Dont normally do FPS on my console....
However, Ive been waiting for another dose of Battlefield forever (I still play BF2 on my PC). At first I was p*ssed that this wouldnt be making an appearance on my PC as Id much rather play with a mouse.
But after giving the demo a try its not that bad...I might actually buy it (but it would still be better on PC).

I still play BF2, because 2142 sucks, on my pc and I still liked BF:BC. Normally I hate FPSs on consoles but playing this one was pretty nice. I took a look at that FragFX and I don't know about it. Seems kind of uncomfortable.

I guess I'm just weird then because I love FPS on the PS3. It gets me more into the game.

The L3 sprint thing is not bad. I really like the game. The story line also looks good from the trailer when you beat the demo. It's a definite buy for me.

It's so first person shooter. You could never see yourself only where you aim or point and your arm when you strike with a knife or use the self heal thing. but you could never really see your whole body.
