I have 8X DLs and I still do 2.4X. There is no rush.

my thoughts too on the no rush, if i wanted to play the game faster, then i should have burnt it sooner.

with a dual core, it's not a problem if you're just burning and on the web. but if you're using a heavy cpu program, like photoshop, then problems will occur.

Your newer PC should spit mine out

There is a limit of errors a disc contains before it will be read as" Bad disc" by the system.

For example, the way you burn you discs might be producing 20-30 CRC read errors while dedicated burning machine may be producing only 5 or 6. All readable.

I don?t quite get what you?re saying here, but as I said I burn and multi task with a 5 year old P4 PC O/S XP Pro
You are using a dedicated burn machine and have to be careful because it?s not that fast or up to the job

both of you may be using p4 machines, but burning's is much more stable, because it's a dedicated machine. speed isn't an issue, because DL at 2.4x, it's going to take time.

any multitasking on a single core will cause cpu spikes and slowdowns. the most you should be doing is internet surfing.

also, verbatims are the media to use. uses high quality ink dye and won't stress the laser. there is the occasional bad batch, but they're found quickly.
