External DVD burner - does brand matter?

Hey, I'm considering buying an external USB DL DVD burner to backup my xbox 360 games. Does brand matter much? I was looking at this one:

SAMSUNG SE-S204N External DVD±RW Burner 20x USB 2.0

just wondering if anyone has any experience with it or external dvd burners in general?

Also, other than fleabay, what's the cheapest place to find good quality DL DVDs?

Actually the best burner for XBox 360 games is the Pioneer,and if you would like to use an external you can do that as well.What you do is buy an internal dual layer burner,and then just get a SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 Adapter they are fairly cheap.The adapter can be used on any drive you have hence it gives you the ability to use as many drives you want without having to buy externals which are more expensive than internals.Here is a link to the adapter I have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812232002 it doesn't have to be this specific one,but it is a very good adapter I would recommend it.Trust me externals are overpriced and aren't really needed when you can get an adapter to make any drive external.I use this same adapter on an LG drive for backing up Wii games,and on a Samsung drive that is flashed with Kreon firmware for XBox 360 games.

Thats the good way to go, the one he gave you even has a power supply. If you are going to get an internal, get the Pioneer 115D. $30 on Newegg. Don't buy the Samsung or Sony Optiarc crap.
