Firstly, apologies if this is covered, but I have searched for ages (AD and the rest of the web).
I have opened up my Wii (LEH1898xxxxx) and on IC3001, it says GC2-D2C on the first line and 810P4002 on the second line. I'm sure I read a couple of nights ago that this makes it a D2C (v1), but I can't find anything now that I've opened the thing up :s and I know that if I just order the chip (probably a D2PRO + WiiClip) it'll be wrong!
Thanks and sorry again if this is a common one, if it is, I must be blind!
One last nooby question though, can anuone confirm that the following says it's a D2C (v1):
1. The second line of writing on the D2C
2. The printed text under the spindle says:
Top line: funny backwards R joined to a U, triangle, 94v-0
Bottom Line: MDK 337V-0
Sorry to be a pain, but like I say, whenever I have a guess, I'm always wrong!
There is a version of the d2pro which is compatible with the d2c2 chipset, check with your supplier before you buy though. According to the d2pro website, these chips have a d2c2 compliance sticker on them.
