completely stumped trying to edit mtkflash

i found a tutorial on how to make mtkflash with my chipset. it says i have to be in msinfo and switch this value and that value around after that i'm stumped. this is what i found so far in msinfo

the tut. is saying to swap 1106 and 3249. then switch d480 and d400, which i'm assuming is I/O PORT 1 AND 3. then it says put all of these together and that's what i need for mtkflash hexeditor. Is this right so far because if it is i still don't know where t put the numbers at in hexedit

I'm not sure, but there is a very good tut on how to do that sticiked. It was made by a cool guy 2 years ago.

I never bothered with it, I got the card instead.

yea i got the card also, but it just will not recognize my drive in dos. i'm wondering if there's a way i can tell if the bios is recognizing the via card @ all

oh then it's easy:

Did you install it in Windows first? It should have came with a disc.

yea it found new hardware, then i just let windows install the drivers from the cd. it's recognized when i use xtreme boot maker
