Installation of 2.35 Stalled - Help

Downloaded onto a usb drive and attempted to install. The PS read the file and began installing. Then a screen came up indicating the "PS button" beeded to be pressed. I pressed the PS button on both the controller and the remote control but nothing happens beyond this point, just the screen indicating the PS button needs to be pressed. The thing has been stuck for over two hours. Don't know what to do next. IF anyone has any knowledge or suggestions please let me know. Thanks.

Hook the controller up to the console with the usb cable then press the PS button.

Yes I did that. No indication from the screen that that did anything. It appears I trashed the system. Thanks for the reply. What next?

Success. I was using a usb charge cable (only one way communications). Tried a regular usb cable and I was able to continue. My bad! Thanks for your help. Regards
