Hi,

I am trying to backup a backup using a Sony DVD+-R/+-RW Drive and using TDK-R DVD disks.

The source backup is also on a TDK-R dvd disk. I am using Nero 6 but it goes all the way through and then fails at the end with the "Disk-at-once" part.

I've use quite a few disks now, am I doing something wrong? I have selected x4 read and write.

Or do I need to use Imgburn to extract the Iso and then burn the .iso using imgburn?

Thanks in advance.

You are trying to burn the .ISO as a disk image and not as a file on the DVD aren't you?

Post your last Nero log and let's take a peek.

You can find them here - Program Files>Ahead>Nero>NeroHistory.txt

Just need the last one and be sure to edit out your serial # - they usually begin w/ 1A, C or 5C.

Update Nero - you're still using the original version of 6. The latest of 6 is 6.6.15 - link.
Just download package 1 and package 2 if you use Recode, Vision.

The firmware is update on your burner but it looks like you drive doesn't like these discs Can only write at 2x instead of 4x, from the log.

The TDK's you are using are made by Moser Baer - not always the best.
Try the Sony instead or use Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.

Hmmm that's odd but try this - do a clean install but check your serial 1st in the registry and see if they is a diff of what you are inputting.

Do this to find it in the registry (from Nero's site:

1. Click "Start" in the Windows start menu.
2. Click the "Run" command.
3. The window "Run" will open. Enter "regedit" in the "Open" text field and click the "OK" button.
4. The registry window will open. You will find your serial number on the left side in the navigation tree.
Simply go into the path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ahead\Nero - Burning Rom_Info
and double-click the "Serial" entry.
5. Your serial number is listed in this location. It is structured as follows:
1A2x-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
6. Please write down your serial number.

To do a clean install uninstall Nero w/ the clean tool for Nero 6 - link.
Reboot and install Nero.
