part of my flash has become corrupted (extremely minor) and the little menu that appears when u press triangle on the memory stick to show information shows no text. what is this file called? so i may replace it (i backed up my flash but this partcicular file was corrupted before i backed-up.

I don't know what file that is but I would try re-installing your CFW.
