i have heard somewhere that you are unable to play games online after you hack your wii as it may brick it. is this true or can i play my backups online ??

I'm sure there are plenty of wowsers who will propagate such rumours - I've not heard of anyone having issues of either bricking or online play post-chipping (except where they've applied an update from a disc that's a different region to their Wii)

This is asked on a daily basis. No you can not be banned or Wii bricked using online play. Would be nice if users stopped asking this everyday and did a little searching to find the answer before posting another thread.

Switch your video to 50hzs. I hear this fixes the problem with black screens.

60hz is more compatible with NTSC video source.

As stated in the other thread try using a GcOS boot disc. If you still have issues playing the GcOS or Game Cube games then try using different media.

You are using full DVD5 disc and not mini-disc correct?

If your using Mini-disc then change it to full DVD5 blank media. preferably Verbatim or Tayio Yuden.

yes i am using full size DVDs not mini.
i think that i may have created the GCoS disc wrongly, can anyone tell me how to make a GCoS boot disc or preferably give me a link to a walkthrough or download.

thanks in advance

Go HERE and download the "GCOS MultiGame Version.rar" zipped file.

Now extract the downloaded file and go to the "Bootable ISOS" folder.

Extract the "GCOS MultiGame Ver (PAL)" file and burn the ISO using IMGBurn or any other image burning software.
